A traditional ley of non - aggressive grass species. There has been much interest in livestock production on a more extensive, free ranging platform in recent years. This mixture will ideally suit those who wish to take a more environmental approach to farming. In fact some native beef breeds thrive best on this type of grass.

  • 21% Timothy
  • 11% Smooth Stalked Meadow Grass
  • 10% Rough Stalked Meadow Grass
  • 7% Crested Dogstail
  • 1% Meadow Foxtail

Usage - Cutting, Cattle & Sheep

Sowing Rate - 86kg/ ac (35kg/ ha)

  • Can be grazed or cut for hay or haylage
  • Will suit extensive livestock management
  • A mixture that will tolerate wet and cold conditions
  • A very dense sward which is also very hard wearing
  • Will tolerate low fertiliser input and lower pH soils
